Privacy, in plain language.
This policy explains how Jason Purton handles information in Festive AR and on this support website. Last updated: 18 October 2026.
Information we handle and why.
- Account details: sign-in identifier, email address, name, profile image, sign-in provider, and profile information you provide. We use these to authenticate you and maintain your profile.
- Photos and decoration requests: the house photo you select or capture, decoration selections, instructions, and generated results. We process these to create the transformation. Photo input and instructions are sent to Google’s Gemini service when you use AI generation.
- House submissions: submitted images, author information, selected map coordinates/address, decoration selections, and submission time. We store these to provide the community feed and map.
- Activity: liked and viewed house identifiers, votes, and relevant counts. We use these for the app’s community features and your account history.
- Device storage: sign-in state, Season Pass status/expiry and submission counts may be stored on your device to support the app’s operation.
- Purchases: product and entitlement status used to provide paid features and restore access. Payment processing is handled by the relevant store; do not send us card information.
- Advertising: where AdMob ads are enabled, Google’s SDK may process IP address, device/advertising identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostics for ad delivery, fraud prevention, and measurement, subject to your consent choices and platform settings.
- Support and technical information: correspondence you send us and information needed to investigate issues. Hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, request metadata and logs to deliver and secure their services.
Camera, photos, location, and sensors.
Camera or photo access lets you capture/select a house image and use camera-related views. Location access supports nearby displays, maps, and house placement; selected house coordinates and an address are stored when you submit a house. Orientation sensors may support the exploration view. You can manage permissions in your device settings; denying them may limit related features.
Camera permission does not itself publish an image. AI generation sends the photo input for processing. Submitting a house makes the submission available through the community features. Avoid uploading faces, licence plates, personal documents, or homes you do not have permission to share.
Your choices and requests.
You can change device permissions, choose what to upload or submit, and contact us to access, correct, or delete your information. Where applicable, use Settings → Ad Privacy & Consent to manage ad choices and your device settings to manage tracking permissions. Denying tracking does not prevent use of the app.
For privacy questions or complaints, email mail@jasonpurton.com.au. We may need to verify ownership before providing or changing account information. You may also contact your relevant privacy regulator.
Retention and deletion.
Account profiles, submitted houses and related activity are retained to provide the account and community features until removed or no longer needed. This is not an automatic end-of-season deletion service. Provider logs, backups and transaction records may follow separate retention requirements.
Use our account and data deletion process to request removal. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days, except information required for legal obligations; any applicable exception will be explained. Uninstalling the app does not delete server-side information.
Age requirements.
The first release of Festive AR is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Children must not create accounts, upload photos, submit locations, or use its AI features. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and arrange removal.
This website and security.
This support website does not embed ads, analytics scripts, social widgets, or account sign-in. Its host may process normal web-request logs for delivery and security. Email links open your email service; they do not send a request automatically.
We use service-provider security controls and limit information requested for support. No system can guarantee absolute security. Do not send secrets in support emails.
Changes and contact.
We may update this policy as the app changes, showing the revised date here and providing additional notice where required.
